The author was born in Egypt into a devoted Armenian Christian family. This painfully shy, inexperienced and insecure child was led by an inexplicable strong conviction that she should come to America. Astrig left home, family, church, community, and on her own, at nineteen, was on her way to the United States. She received her formal musical education in California and Canada. After many struggles she became a professional singer, gave classical vocal concerts and for three seasons sang with the Metropolitan Opera Company. This is the story of her incredible life!

Wow! What a compelling story!

This is a very interesting and well written, fascinating account of an incredible (not yet finished) life journey. We had the honor of having two of our daughters taught by Astrig. And while we were always impressed, we had no idea about this incredible story of her life. We are all blessed to have her in our lives. What a formidable woman!

A fascinating life journey of faith. Astrig lovingly gives praise and thanks to God for every aspect of her life...from guiding her courageous move to a foreign country as a teenager, to her musical education and career, to meeting the love of her life. This book is an inspiration from cover to cover and a must read for anyone who is seeking to find or questioning their purpose in life.

A Life's Journey and a Walk of Faith

An amazing story about a woman of faith's life journey. Astrig's story is told with a clarity of style that allows the reader to participate in her journey. Both my husband and I read her story and enjoyed every page. But the best part for us was when she met Ed and they began their life's journey together. Ed is a life-long friend of my husband and was best man at our wedding. We met Astrig not too long after they were married and knew at once that this was a couple who were meant for each other. We never knew all of the trials that Astrig had encountered before her marriage to Ed so reading this book brought new depth to this lovely woman we call friend. Her faith through is so strong and it shines through on every page. An inspiring story that all can enjoy.
