Very good but outdated

Basic astronomy, one of the 7 liberal arts, is a must for astrologers and for those seeking to understand the traditional science of astrology.
This is quite a good book written a generation ago. Meanwhile, technical tools like man-made satellites have significantly changed methods of predicting motions of heavenly bodies, so that "true" motion instead of "mean" motion has, as in pre-antiquity, moved to the fore.
Nevertheless, the book is complete with Glossary, Bibliography and Index. Bravo! Many recent works on astrology and related topics lack one or more of these essentials. The authors did an excellent job explaining the basic notions of astromonmy related to astrology.
English language authors of such books are heartily encouraged to follow the examples of their scientific and military communities in using worldwide metric standards of measurement throughout, the various British, US and Canadian units belonging in an appendix for reference only.
